Schmitt Residence

Philip Schmitt was born 6 March 1838 in Drier, Rhineland, Prussia where on 24 March 1866 he married Susanna Schmitz. Susanna was born 16 April 1840 in Hottenhels, Rhineland, Germany.

The couple settled in Chicago around 1866. By 1880 they were living at 756 27th Street (now 812 W. 27th St.) Philip died 26 April 1921 and Susanna followed on 18 October 1922. They are both buried in St. Boniface Cemetery in Chicago.
