Paradise Ballroom

Street Address:
120 North Pulaski Road
Chicago, IL

Said to be the largest dance hall ever built in Chicago, the Paradise Ballroom could easily fit 4000 dancers. The owner, J. Louis Guyon, made the ballroom the most conservative of the Chicago public dancing halls. He would not allow any fast or "physically charged" music; patrons were allowed to dance the two-step or waltzes, but were forbidden to dance the Charleston or the fox-trot.
